Welcome To 271 Ponsonby Road
We are thrilled to be open in Ponsonby and have our second door in Auckland. Located at 271 Ponsonby Road, the store represents an evolution of our offer from purely suit-centric to a becoming a complete lifestyle brand for men.
With this new and expanded range we have showcased our concept of what a modern contemporary wardrobe should look like. There are a lot of classic, sophisticated options that fall outside of a traditional two-piece suit or jacket and trouser.
Smart knitwear, casual jackets, denim - these are all essential parts of the modern man's wardrobe. Everything on offer is available made-to-measure, so even if you’re selecting something as simple as a pair of chinos, you’re getting the same attention to detail, selection and personalisation that we’ve always offered with suits.
“The main motivation was to be able to showcase what we’ve been working so hard on and that was developing new products and collections attuned to the changing ways our clients are dressing now. Men are finding it challenging to transition from a suit and tie to something that’s more casual and still looks good around the clock, and our Ponsonby store will be able to showcase this and complement our offering in the city.” - Murray Crane
For the interior, the focus was on creating a space that shared some references with our High Street flagship whilst charting its own course. It is a more relaxed space and we wanted that to feel evident when people enter. Centred around a restored French draper’s table, with bespoke racking and hand-blown glass light fixtures, the store is a warmer, softer space, keeping in line with the more easy-wearing product offer. The painting located at the back of the shop is by Stephen Bram who is best known for his abstract expressionist and conceptual paintings.
