Angus - Dogsbody
Meet Angus – our resident dogsbody (and we say that with affection).
The term dogsbody has its roots in 19th-century naval slang, originally referring to junior sailors tasked with the most unglamorous duties — often essential, always overlooked.
At Crane Brothers, we’ve reclaimed the term in the best possible way. Angus is the person who makes everything tick quietly in the background: steaming garments, juggling deliveries, keeping track of stock, and ensuring our fittings run on time.
But beyond the hands-on work, he also brings sharp administrative skills to the table — managing dockets, liaising with tailors, and keeping our internal systems in good order.
It’s the kind of role that doesn’t always get the spotlight, but one that holds the whole operation together. Angus approaches it with calm, competence, and a sense of humour that makes him a favourite across the team.
We’d be lost without him — and proud to have him as our very own (modern-day) dogsbody.
