Autumn’s Fabric: The Story of Glencheck
For the Autumn/Winter season, we revisit a classic menswear pattern for our first seasonal blazer drop.
Glencheck, also known as Glen Plaid, has its origins in the Scottish Highlands. The pattern was first used by the estate managers of Glenurquhart, a Scottish estate in Inverness-shire.
The Glenurquhart estate was known for its breeding of high-quality sheep, and the estate managers used the Glencheck fabric to create durable and warm clothing for their shepherds. It was rapidly adopted by the upper classes of Scotland and England, who wore it as a sign of social status and wealth.
The pattern itself is made up of small and large checks, traditionally in a houndstooth weave, and is commonly used for suiting and blazers.
We have introduced three blazers to kick off the season, all are made from a premium blend of wool, silk, and cashmere to ensure a luxurious feel and exceptional durability.
