Codis Maya - Traditional English Handcrafted Jewellery
Our High Street store has just taken delivery of Codis Maya cufflinks.
The name is derived from the Mayan Indians who worshipped precious metals.
Each Codis Maya piece is handmade in their London Workshop by a team of skilled artisans and feature a number of handcrafted elements including hand stamping and soldering. Coloured crystals are ground by hand into a fine powder before being added one hue at a time.
Firing is completed by hand to make sure the glass fuses into the cufflink totally. Every time the cufflink is fired, it’s polished with a pumice stone and more enamel is added.
The final step is to add a gleam to the cufflink by using a jeweller’s rouge, and then soldering any final fittings before it’s gilded.
Every pair of cufflinks from Codis Maya is a work of art and presented beautifully in a gift box.
