Crane Brothers & Together Journal Wedding Event
In association with Together Journal, we recently hosted an exclusive and intimate evening of food, fine wine and good company, celebrating New Zealand’s wedding industry.
The last two years have been a challenging time for the wedding industry. Many of our clients have had to postpone their weddings up to three or four times. Most other vendors within our circle have embraced this challenge going the extra mile for their couples and have managed to thrive both creatively and in business.
We recognised this, and wanted to bring this community together to celebrate the resilience we had seen.
“The Wedding Community is small and intimate. We find ourselves working alongside each other on peoples special days without really interacting that much with each other, that was the catalyst for this event.” - Murray Crane
PAX in Remuera was selected as the location, a beautiful historic home which was built in the 1860s. Guy Kidd is the in-house chef, back from a stint overseas working in prestigious Italian and French restaurants. Guy created a custom Italian-style menu with matching seasonal cocktails. Wine expert Claudia Elze curated wines for the evening and was on hand to guide guests through the wine pairing. After arrival, cocktails and champagne, the formal sit-down dinner was enjoyed in the conservatory; a long table where all could converse, relax and enjoy each others company.
