When I went to school we could take horticulture and cooking as two of our options. I remember one year we grew a cucumber and then made a salad using the cucumber.
This taught us two things: How to grow a cucumber and how to feed ourselves by whipping up a fresh salad and some tasty mayonnaise.
These days the cucumber is a penis substitute and the teacher is more likely to be faking an orgasm.
