Jaguar F-TYPE SVR
I had the opportunity to drive the new F - TYPE SVR this week.
Released in Geneva earlier this year the model has been eagerly awaited and is now here in New Zealand.
It really is a special vehicle, purposely built to foot it with the best high-performance factory vehicles on offer. With it's lightweight, innovative materials and advanced aerodynamic design the SVR is the most powerful F-TYPE yet.
The 5.0 liter V8 unit’s twin vortex supercharger eliminates drag and surge for responsive performance at all engine speeds. Optional extras include a ceramic brake pack (recommended but not essential) and carbon fiber trim as well as a myriad of bespoke options.
Bulletproofing is optional but I can guarantee you that you will feel pretty invincible in this, I know I did. Basically, it's very fast : 0-100km/h in just 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 300 plus. The Hampton Downs course is very good and relatively kind to novices like me.
If you're in the market for an exceptionally well designed and engineered sports car, you need to consider the F- TYPE SVR.
