JWB Armchair
John Dinsdale (BDes) and Gary Backhouse recently collaborated to create the JWB Armchair which pays homage to the aesthetic of founder Joe Backhouse.
The chair is the first piece in a new collection that revisits and reinterprets the iconic mid-century designs of Backhouse.
Made from solid timbers including ash, oak and sapele mahogany, the chair is constructed here in New Zealand using state of the art technology.
Backhouse was established in 1948 and has involved three generations of Backhouses - Joe, his son Gary and grandson Oliver.
