Sure Shot

Sam specialises in hand painted signage, focusing on gold leaf on glass, using traditional techniques to create bespoke signage, mirrors and artwork. He began his apprenticeship straight out of high school, managing to learn basic brush skills just as the industry was moving away from brushwork.
In 2009, after a commission for a good friend requiring hand painted signs, Sam found himself being requested to do more and more work and over time forged a reputation for himself.
In an effort to expand on his talent he attended a workshop class in Sydney with David Smith and Will Lynes in 2017 and studied the art of gilding on glass, exposing himself to knowledge and skill that only true craftsmen possess.
As we say in tailoring, "knowledge of the hand."
