Take Pitti
Pitt has been an incredible experience.
It started Monday on the flight here from London with more pocket squares, man ankles and ironic hats than you could shake a stick at.
The sartorial testosterone was thicker than the Firenze fog and even a torrential downpour couldn't dampen everyone's spirits. My conservative guess is that suppliers aside maybe 1 in 5 people are actually here to write business; most are here to promenade and shoot (or be shot).
I have caught up with some old friends and made some great new ones. There will be some new labels arriving in the coming months to complement the ones we already represent.
No one does menswear like the Italians and the recent renaissance in their flair, style and industry is a breath of fresh air.
So tomorrow I immerse myself in the dandyism again feeling decidedly underdressed. I'll leave that to the peacocks, I'm not here to prance.
