Vernacular
If you are stuck on what to buy for Christmas then books are always a good idea (once you've bought socks and shirts).
Vernacular is a new book produced by landscape designer Philip Smith and Auckland-based photographer David Straight.
They have been on a monumental road trip around New Zealand finding things that spark their imagination and appeal to their unique eye. I like David’s eye, like many good photographers he finds beauty in what is often overlooked.
Everyday objects and aspects are shown in a new way.
