Vitale Barberis
One of my favourite weavers is Vitale Barberis.
They are a well respected Italian mill who have been making cloth since 1663. Whilst many of the older Italian weavers and mills have merged or closed Barberis seem to be thriving.
I love their Wool Mohair, something that they are well known for. It is the perfect weight and density for an Antipodean climate and a cloth we have used consistently for over 10 years. This season we have also used their flannels in both collections.
Kid Dandy, who also shot the O'Mast doco shot this wonderful piece on them.
