Watch This Space
Dealers in beautiful vintage and pre-owned watches, Wynn & Thayne, have opened a new showroom. The designated space is situated on Kent Street in Newmarket in a building that served as an office for a lumber yard in a past life and still features original native rimu timber fixtures.
It has been thoughtfully curated with period-correct mid-century furniture from Mr. Bigglesworthy and features vintage Rolex advertisements on the walls, rare Patek Philippe catalogues, and elusive Seiko memorabilia.
Wynn & Thayne specialises in vintage and neo-vintage models from renowned Swiss brands including Rolex, Cartier, and Omega. The new showroom operates strictly on an appointment basis and clients are welcomed to visit for viewing, purchasing, selling, or trading watches in a safe and familiar space, as Founder Zayyar Win Thein emphasises:
'The most important thing to us was to create an environment where people can learn about and appreciate watches. With items of this nature in terms of value and age, it's crucial for people to have hands-on experience—to try on the watches and assess their condition in person. We felt it was imperative to open a space to accommodate this.'
