Goya Teba Jacket - Navy

$1,795.00

There is a jacket most men have never heard of. A smaller number will recognise it on sight, and quietly think better of you for wearing it. We call ours the Goya. The style is known as the Teba.

In the 1920s, King Alfonso XIII wore a soft, unstructured hunting jacket into the Spanish field. His friend the Count of Teba admired it, and the jacket took his name. No padding, no canvas. A shirt collar in place of lapels, buttoning to the throat against the wind.

That construction is why it works now. It has too much presence for a bomber, too little formality for a blazer, and is light enough to wear open over a t-shirt on a warm evening.

Shown in Loro Piana Jersely, a blend of wool, silk and linen.

Available made-to-measure in your choice of cloth.
